Bluefield Geoservices US Inc. is currently seeking an experienced geotechnical survey professional to help drive the expansion of our business in the Americas.  Bluefield specializes in geotechnical investigation of subsea soil mechanics to support clients working in the offshore energy, subsea mining and defense sectors.  Our experienced team of engineers and use of innovative robotic survey equipment make Bluefield a center of excellence in efficiently collecting and analyzing data related to seabed soil conditions with a focus on delivering high quality data to our clients to support their project related decision making.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical foundation in subsea geotechnical surveying, as well as the ability to take on management responsibilities. He/she will have strong leadership skills and experience contracting with and providing geotechnical survey and consultancy services to engineering firms, prime contractors and other entities requiring such services in the offshore renewables, oil and gas or subsea mining industries.

  • Lead efforts the company to drive expansion in the Americas
  • Help to expand relationships with new and existing clients
  • Attend industry trade shows and networking events to promote the company’s capabilities
  • Manage and assist with geotechnical surveys including planning, field data collection, interpretation and reporting
  • Understand geotechnical engineering principles and subsea site investigation procedures to be able to communicate effectively with clients and potential clients regarding project requirements
  • Work with company staff to ensure timely submission of proposals
  • Be self-motivated, hardworking, ethical, trustworthy and dependable
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills and strong desire to learn to do new things
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team


  • Experience based understanding of geotechnical surveys including planning, field data collection, interpretation and reporting
  • A Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical or geological engineering with a minimum 7 – 10 years of professional experience
  • The ideal candidate will also have at least 5 years of field experience as a subsea geotechnical surveyor
  • Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office, Windows OS, and experience with survey and charting software packages is preferred

Salary: Commensurate with experience, including incentive package
