Bluefield Geoservices (Bluefield) has added three more professionals to the firm’s engineering and operations team following several recent contract wins in the United States and Europe. The new Bluefield employees—Lev Belskiy as geotechnical project manager and Jonathan Bell and Dariusz Nowak as geotechnical technicians — bring a diverse wealth of offshore geotechnics experience to the subsea geotechnical services provider and will play instrumental roles in the company’s planned expansion on both sides of the Atlantic in 2023.
The announcement comes after a busy 2022 for Bluefield when the company made a series of significant capital investments to further strengthen the firm’s footing in the United States and Europe, which included the establishment of a comprehensive inventory of geosurvey equipment based out of the company’s Newport, Rhode Island location. In addition to several proprietary systems, the current portfolio of rapidly deployable equipment includes but is not limited to a 100kN ROSON Cone Penetration Test (CPT) system; a high powered electric Vibrocore; a Fielax Thermal Testing unit; a ROVcone CPT system; and a Piston Core.
“We are delighted to welcome Dariuz, Lev, and Jonathan to the Bluefield team during a very exciting phase of our long-term growth strategy,” said Jim Edmunds, Managing Director. “Since Bluefield was formed in 2018 with the intention of bringing new proprietary seabed investigation technologies to market, we have witnessed unprecedented demand for high-quality geotechnical data collection services from offshore developers around the world. Our mission to meet this demand and deliver exceptional quality data quicker and more cost-effectively than the competition not only relies on our ability to provide clients with access to the latest tools but also a team of technical subject matter experts with the proven experience of executing complex subsea projects that achieve meaningful operational efficiencies.”
“When we set out to disrupt the offshore geotechnical investigation services industry, we understood the ongoing challenge of matching the right tools with the right personnel,” added Jim. “Attracting talent like Dariusz, Lev, and Jonathan, while forging important strategic alliance with partners like Aratellus, is about creating an unrivalled professional ecosystem that is willing to challenge the status quo in order to establish a new gold standard for premium subsea data services.”
